Renovation of old entrance hall doors

The Result
The customer wanted to recuperate an existing century-old double door from her old kitchen veranda, and to create an entrance hall separation between the house front door and the staircase.
We proposed to renovate the doors and to integrate them in a custom built-in frame also replacing the glass with laminated glass for personal security purposes:
Renovation of the existing doors replacing some old wood pieces
Replacement of the door glasses with new laminated glass for personal protection
Construction of a 3,5 meters high door frame using traditionally crafted larch wood, the same wood as used when constructing the doors end of 19th century
Aesthetics respecting the existing door style
